ChurchAI tracks the attendance and giving already in Planning Center and shows your team which families are slipping away each week, with the message ready to send. Your Sunday runs exactly as it does now.
Attendance, giving, groups, serving teams. It's all in there. ChurchAI tracks it person by person, so when a family stops coming you see the family, not a dip in the headcount.
| Dimension | ChurchAI | Planning Center |
|---|---|---|
| What you get | Each week, the families slipping away, with the message already written. | Your Sunday, planned and run in one place. |
| The question it answers | Who's slipping away, and who on your team reaches out this week. | Who's scheduled, who checked in, who gave. |
| Who owns it on staff | Whoever owns follow-up, usually a connections pastor. | The operations, services and Sunday morning teams. |
| Where it lives | Alongside Planning Center, lining up the follow-up your team sends the rest of the week. | Right where it is, running your Sunday as it always has. |
The answer was already sitting in Planning Center. ChurchAI gets it to your team in weeks, not months.
ChurchAI watches every family in Planning Center against its own history, so the family who never missed is on your list after three quiet Sundays, and the one who shows up twice a month isn't on it for skipping a week. Each family comes with the reason attached and the check-in already written.
No. Keep Planning Center exactly as it is. Your volunteers see no change on Sunday. ChurchAI works alongside it, works from what's already there, and shows your team who's slipping away.
Attendance, check-in history, giving and groups: the things that show whether a family's still showing up. Attendance and giving are enough to start. Your service plans and song library stay out of it.
Yes. Your forms, automations and check-in stations run exactly as they did the week before, and your staff keep working in Planning Center as they do now. What changes is Monday. Your follow-up person opens ChurchAI and finds the week's list waiting: which families are slipping, why, and a message ready for each.
Whoever owns follow-up. Usually that's a connections or assimilation pastor, and at a smaller church the executive pastor. The list pays off when the person reading it is the one who'll pick up the phone. Give it to the team that reaches out.
If your pain is Sunday operations, keep your money. Service planning, worship scheduling and a check-in line that moves two hundred kids are what Planning Center is built for. And if nobody on staff owns follow-up yet, start there. We'll tell you so on the call.

Planning Center is the best system of record most churches have ever had, but it is a management tool, not a growth tool. Here is how the two actually compare when engagement, not admin, is at the center of the decision.

Planning Center has a genuine free tier—not just a trial—that can run a small church indefinitely. Here's exactly what each module gives you for free, where the ceilings hit, and what the pricing page doesn't show.

Keep your current ChMS and add tools on top of it, unless the system is failing at something only it can do: hold the system of record, run Sunday check-in safely, or process giving reliably. Almost every other complaint is a capability gap—and capability gaps are cheaper to fill with an integration than with a migration.
Bring your Planning Center records to a call with us. You'll leave knowing which families your team would hear about first, the message they'd send, and whether your church needs this yet. Weighing Gloo as well? See Gloo vs ChurchAI, and how ChurchAI tells your team who needs you this week.
